The Bubble

by Sean Ash   Jun 19, 2015

Does an author not write a book? A poet not write a poem? A musician composes a symphony? Do we not write our very own history using our actions as the very pen? Does life not have its own chapters to which we are part of? Does a baby decide to be born? You see, our thinking is bound to the zeitgeist and conditions of our time. We might think we are free, but we are merely the air caught within the bubble.

    Fantastic poem.

We might think we are free, but we are merely the air caught within the bubble.

Love the word Zeitgeist, I have been watching a few documentaries and films on the subject recently,

I feel like I am poking my finger through the bubble you mentioned.

    hasn't popped yet though

    a long way to go....

    as for your poem?

This site is a stickler for layout

    if you laid it out like this;

Does an author not write a book?
A poet not write a poem?
    A musician composes a symphony?
Do we not write our very own history,
using our actions as the very pen?
Does life not have its own chapters
to which we are part of?
Does a baby decide to be born?

You see, our thinking is bound to the zeitgeist
    and conditions of our time.
We might think we are free,
but we are merely the air caught within the bubble.

    It may be better received,

Writing is an art and art is art, the layout is up to you

just a suggestion delivered from the bowels of my humble opinion.
