EVERYDAY THINGS

by Gayle McMillan   Jul 31, 2015

It's the everyday things
You find throughout your day
The simple little joys
Like hearing a child pray
You can't take time to notice
If your life is in a hurry
If your heart is full of woe
Or your mind is full of worry
But in the everyday things
Take time to look for treasures
They`re not so hard to find
They`re the simple little pleasures
A smile from across the room
The twinkle in someone's eye
Picking flowers in a garden
A slice of wild blackberry pie
Take time to hear the sparrow
Sing her lovely song
Smell the fragrance of a flower
For life does not last long
