Wrath in the bath

by Darren   Aug 6, 2015

Never felt so much wrath,
Blood boils to within a cinder,
It's always when I'm in the bath,
To me you're just a hinder.

Why does hatred burn?
So deep from within,
It makes a mild man turn,
Out comes the evil twin.

Stuck in this boring shell,
I have lost all of my desire,
Living in a daily hell,
Regurgitating this useless mire.

Can't describe this mortal pang,
I want to explode,
My heart has long since sang,
My kindness has begun to erode.

Each day the wrath takes hold,
I'm feeling more and more bitter,
What the hell will I be like when I'm old?
No longer young and not as fitter.

Should I stop having a bath?
Take a quick shower instead,
It may extinguish this burning wrath,
Keep the goodness in my head.

Just found a save file on my old laptop with about 40 poems I wrote early on, I actually don't like any of them. This one though was the best of a bad bunch.
