Hold the Tiller, Watch the Boom

by Larry Chamberlin   Sep 29, 2015

Afloat lonely seas,
jousting radically heavy forces,
unmitigated deluges,
I expurge pain
as mighty Neptune
challenges heartfully.

Racing happily,
withstanding overt attacks,
past anxieties leave -
drowning midstream -
for I've received inspiration.

Eternal ocean
serene paradise!
Sunsets, mauve nacre,
beautiful displays,
veritable ethereal veils welcome
Helios down under sea.

Keep driving
by determination
harbour deferred!

This was an extremely tough challenge - not helped by Britt's miserable letter choice! - but I remember reading this in awe. A brilliant job, Larry, in a competition with some great entries.

This is genius, and inspiring, and elegantly beautiful. It draws a picture on my mind with every word I read, and at the end I stand to see the big picture.

This is a winner in my eyes 0_0
