Unchangeable Sky

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 23, 2015

Shivers run down my spine
as I remember all those days
we spent together, caught on camera,
as I hid between the coats in the closet;
it always felt like there was no one
around for days.

I imagine if life would be more tolerable
if you were dead,
wondering if I will shed the tears for you
that never seem to come.

I miss the somebody I used to be
before you became a part
of every single thing I do,
fearing every step I take
will be the one where
I smash into you!

I used to think that if you died,
then everybody loses,
but I don't need justice for me to win,
I just need you out of my life.

And as I lay here,
watching the silver stars twinkling,
the calm moon shining down,
I realise that if you died,
I wouldn't shed a tear...

for children would be safe
to sleep at night,
and it would not change
the beautiful sky at night.
