I Lay Before You

Making the Lord
the mainstay and refuge of my soul
Oh Allah I am needful for your grace
I prostate in humility, seeking your mercy
for I seek to make amendments
so as to never lose my way

Guide me to the right path, I pray
For I seek to embrace your glory as I beseech you
You are Oft-Forgiving, most Merciful
In your showers of peace I find divine warmth

I bow before none but you in humility
Acting upon Your words
Words of surreal power guide my path to righteousness
Believing in it as firm as true
Casting down my glances and craving for Gardens of Heaven

I thrive to attain your everlasting garden of bliss
In love with you I am for I fear the day I stand before you
My greatest pleasure will be laying my eyes on your divine being

Being under Your shade when there is no other except it
assures me of your merciful nature
yet I fear to derail Ya'Allah
I wish to be around Your fountain
In merriment to lounge in it forever

As I flee from Your stern wrath
Come with me my valiant strivers to the garden of heaven You uttered
