Years of Sailing

by Maple Tree   Nov 5, 2015

Hands ripple
with wrinkles
of the sea.

Waves of thoughts
years of tormented struggles,
preservation of worrisome emotion.

My boat sails upon limbs
that reach out to save another
from drowning in that very same sea
I have sailed.

Wonderful use of extended metaphor here, beautifully written and I love the layout you have employed - it's a captivating piece just to look at.
    All the best,
