Outside IN

by J Nair   Nov 25, 2015

When incessant chatter is all that remains
When an endless void is all that you face
Years of exploring that you've undergone,
Has brought you to this moment where you stand lost
Clueless and waiting for an answer
' What is life all about?'

When measured distance in time you've travelled
Bet you've walked to the moon and returned
But enlightened wisdom you've gained none.
Not a single soul lighting moment have you found ingrained.

Just meaningless patterns have you treaded on
And catered to endless ego bolstering tasks
Competing and chasing mediocre dreams
Foolishly overwhelmed with castles in the air.

It is time to set on that journey inside.
Confront the demons who therein reside.
What are these faceless fears that have barriers built?
What is this unknown path that madness instills?

There is no return to this journey if you embark
There are no guides or maps to take along for this task
But if you manage to navigate
Following the thread of your innermost thoughts
And walk away freely from this perplexing maze
Then the flame of life shall burst into an inferno.
Spreading a halo around your head and
Eternal wisdom mirroring from your eyes.

I think we all wonder what life is really all about. It is putting us to the test all the time.No matter what it teaches us new lessons and we become stronger and wiser. Our surroundings can and will influence us.Nobody reallyvever knows what is going on inside of us. Great write with a greater message

We always say change, fix or heal from inside out but this from outside in...the title alone leaves a reader to ponder. The message herein is very important and from it change. We are influenced by the outside forces which somehow changes whatever goodness left within. This is something everyone should read...take care.
