Emptiness in the Park

by Larry Chamberlin   Dec 21, 2015

Companions nocturnal
warm winter breezes
give me time to think
sink into deep reveries

Things I have known
and what has been shown
leave far more questions than answers;
trying to understand is following dancers
whose arms flail, legs sail:
no eyes can stay with this motion;
but stepping back comes to view
a pattern
where moves so fast appear stilled;
a standing wave is now discerned.

There before you lies the truth
understanding and essential proof!
But the breezes interrupt in play
before it is fixed the truth blows away.
