God's Love Through a Child

by Shelley Williams   Mar 28, 2016

The rain may fall
in times of strife,
Thunder, lightning,
high winds of life.

A flood of trouble
or a gentle breeze,
Strengthened faith
while on your knees.

God knows your heart
He hears your prayers,
The trials you face
He often shares.

Endure to the end,
know you are heard,
A submissive child
accepts God's word.

Close to the heavens,
a light that shine,
An angel of God,
the most divine.

The rain leaves
puddles on the street,
It is the child
at the Lord's feet.

Not a grudge
will spread the storm,
An innocent child
naive and warm.
