Thoughts That Fly:

by Scott Cole   May 8, 2016

My mind is racing
A mile a minute,
In a race car
Without me in it.

It want shut down
From it's daily grind,
That race track
Within my mind.

Round and round
Time after time,
One less lap
I'm still behind.

My head is spinning
I fight the fight
From reluctent ideas
That have no light.

The harder I battle
With my memoirs,
Those inner thoughts
Desquised as bars.

The faster they travel
The faster I spin,
On that race track
That's made of skin.

Those racing thoughts
As they inner-twine,
With the speed of light
They blow my mind.
