The Company Picnic:

by Scott Cole   May 13, 2016

Mr. Plastic Fork
Miss. Plastic Spoon,
At the Company Picnic
Tearing up some food.

They bump shoulders
Caught each other's eye,
Sat down together
For a piece of pie.

They passed the day
Just having a ball,
With company employees
Suited for the call.

There's Ms. Paper Towel
A helper in the cafeteria,
Her quicker picker uppers
Rid us of bacteria.

A really helpful lady
They call her Ms. Hoover,
Usually hangs around
At the water cooler.

There's Mr. Plastic Knife
Over next to the swing,
He thinks he's so tough
But he can't cut a string.

Heard he's out the door
Yeah that is the word,
For not making the cut
Like the Boss prefers.

And Mrs. Paper Plate
Who tries to fit in,
Everything she touches
Either breaks or bends.

Just a super nice lady
Does the secretary's job,
Keeps all of our valuables
From ever getting robbed.

And poor Mr. Paper Cup
Who hardly stands up,
From that sweet stuff
He keeps in his cup.

Its really a shame
But it's his loss,
The company drunk
Who always gets tossed.

Next to that sandbox
Is Mrs. Paper Bag,
Who's got all our backs
But no room to brag.

She's the Boss
She calls the shots,
Where we should go
Or where we should not.

Nice Company Picnic
Mr. Plastic Fork,
Nice Company Picnic
Miss. Spoon of course.

Same time, same place
See you next year,
When we meet again
All our disposable peers.
