A friend indeed

by Michael   May 18, 2016

A frail old lady
left all alone,
in her home
all on her own.

This poor little lady
left for dead.
A family once there,
but have now fled.

Is there anyone
there?
Is there anyone that
has a care?

My beloved and cherished
friend.
A friend is so happy to give
her time,
to give comfort and help
to people less fine.

Shopping...,washing,
stories shared,
breakfasts and dinners
all prepared.

All for the love of helping
another.

A few hours she spends each day,
giving to someone,
does indeed go along way.

My friend believes
If someone has given
you, a helping hand,
a favour, or a good turn.
Pay your favour forward
and be happy, and seek for
no return.

Aww this is so sad because it happens all the time unfortunately usually to the people that give their lives to helping others.

What a lovely write about being a friend-so many lonely people out there who would be so happy for some human contact.
