Blank canvas (Physical)

by Darren   Jun 12, 2016

Born

screaming leg kicking
gift of life, of hope

a fall
a graze, leg blemish
splatter upon canvas

the girl fight
red misting eyes
slapping blue upon another canvas
receiving black in return

crouched leg quivering
holding tight enough upon oneself
as yellow seeps to top of knuckles
hair pulled from canvas
kicks and bites bring purple

rough sleeping
needle tracking blisters
grime clinging
matted hair
disturbing red spots rising
cracks and grimacing distorts canvas

lipstick hides lip biting
foundations irony lost on client
rough hair pulling, biting
dreaming and wishing life away sex
hands around throat squeezing
delivers greatest wish
sick spatters collapsing canvas

gutter swimming
rubbish strewn canvas
hidden among the filth and commercialism
a canvas depicting modern art
the footprint, the bite marks
many colours once discovered
he asks the question
"What say you Jane Doe?"

This is a deep piece Darren. I need to read it a few more times I think, but I feel it's a good piece of work.

Darren, I loved this piece. Us women do a lot to cover up don't we..

    Excellent imagery and description.
