My letter to my kids

by Jessica R   Jul 15, 2016

Just in case I were to leave this world tomorrow, I'd like to make sure today,
That my kids know what they mean to me, before i go away.
Tomorrow is never promised we're only here on borrowed time.
And soon the time will arrive
to lay to rest this soul of mine.
I want you to know how sorry I really am from the bottom of my heart.
The damage and pain I inflicted on you tore both our lives apart.
I was torn between two world's but I swear I didn't know better,
But I'm hoping to ease some of the pain by the time you read this letter.
I sware my intentions were to be the best the mom and do right by you forever,
I wanted to give you guys the world and forever be together.
Somewhere along the way
I failed you guys really bad
I don't know where I went wrong
But I followed the darkest path.
I started on a journey that I I had no clue would do me wrong.
I'm just sorry you had to see it
I'm sorry I dragged you along.
I tried time and time again to make things right.
But every time I did I I repeatedly lost the fight.
I know that from your points of view it seemed like I didn't care.
But I promise you you there's nothing I wanted more then to get myself out of there.
Not a second went by where I didn't feel like I tried my best.
But I gave it all I had till I finally had nothing left.
