Who am I?

by CRAFTY KEN   Aug 17, 2016

Who am I?

Am I you or am I me, when I look in the mirror who do I see?
At the Party am I with you or are you with me, why am I angry and your filled with glee?
Am I taking you home or is he, why do you love their words while they sound like baloney to me!

What happened last night, did you have a fight, who won, you or me?
What happened to that girl, at the dance, you gave her gave a good whirl, too bad she left with someone else leaving you on the shelf!

Stop feeling bitter, and don't bother the babysitter, by the way, you forgot to clean up the Kitties litter.
Don't feel bad, not even sad, I'll always be with you, I'm your thoughts good or bad.

Great poem, nice rhyme and rhythm. I like the way you explained yourself, your personality through your relationship with another, what you are to them. Although you question your relationship, your personality is clear.

BTW, you have a grammar mistake, first stanza, second line... it's "you're" not "your" (Why am I angry and you're** filled with glee?)

    Keep it up!

    Hello Ken

I have missed reading your poetry - it is unique and has a clear voice which is all we poets can really ask for. There is also an inherent humour in all your work which I love.

Thanks, EM, Dag and Meena, like Ben I like to write a rhyming puzzle with a surprise answer at the end. We are doing well and thanks for your concern.

Each day that passes we can't seem to get through them without having any thoughts. We question ourselves and at the same time situation questions us.

I like the rhyme scheme you have used in this and it flowed really well without a hitch...enjoyed it!
