Another day another murder

by 14th   Sep 25, 2016

Day after day
I turn on the tv
Before I turn off the lights
I hear the cries
Echoes of screams
A innocent shot
By those sworn to protect by all means
I let out a cry
I vision myself
Am I prepared to die?
Not like this
For death I am
But not by bullet from a police man
For I'm insane
To feel the pain
The fear is scared
Don't tell me why
I close my eyes
Another dead
Another life
Did they comply?
Should their restrain
Be instant death?
Why don't they tase?
I calm my rage
My rage, my cry
They shoot to kill
They kill to shoot
I've seen to many
I'm scared to die

Understandable, Cameo. Incredibly confusing times. Mind you, that can be said about the world in general at the moment...

    Cameo

A piece that seethes with anger and confusion and - although I am sensitive to the fact that this is a very race-specific point - I can imagine how angry the black community must be.
I cannot explain away what is going on in the states at the moment, but there have clearly been some atrocious acts committed by those who should be much more moderate in their actions.

    An important write,

    Ben

      Thank you Ben, I'm
      Just so hurt, and scared

It's hard and I often don't know if I'll make it back to my bed at night
