Be aware of the good
in times of sorrow,
In darkness, a light
for a brighter tomorrow.

Content with a smile,
the courage to endure,
The affliction overcome
is as blissful a cure.

Warm in divine nature,
good works, peace of mind,
Aware of the hateful,
yet we choose to be kind.

Don't carry hurt feelings,
defensive in thought,
It is easy to put down
as funny, when it's not.

Pleasant in good deed,
empathy, warmth impart,
Precious is the time
when love is in the heart.

Aware of the good
in the depths of despair
Unconditional love
not a judge, but a prayer.
