In Memory

by Sinister Soire   Mar 26, 2006

How can I say what I want to say
Without sounding cynical
Without making anyone lose hope in the good of the world

What is it about the world today
That brings about these words I say
What makes me want to lose all hope
When all begins to fade

When someone close to you dies
You can't lie down and cry
You have to fight for the right
To make the memory fly
You can never lose hope
For the rest of us all
Just never give up
And everyone cope
What is it about when somebody dies
That brings people together
It's a beautiful thing
To see all the faces
Gathering
From all of the places
Remembering the greatness
Of one
Once and for all

Dedicated to Hoot Brown
In god we trust your greatness and memory

God needs to be capatalized and Hoot needs to be alive...the poem was beautiful but it somehow doesn't comfort me...nothing has and nothing will...although he wasn't one of my great friends, life still is so weird without him and I haven't come to terms with him being gone...I am still expecting to see him at the peaks in his bathrobe which I'll steal and end up getting wet and he'll get mad....but that'll never happen
