An Emotional Storm. (My English Anology)

An Emotional Storm.
By: Elaine.C.

The storm pounds upon this barren town,
like the tumultuous emotions within this battered soul.
Lightning bolts flash white hot, like the burning anger within.
The loud booming thunder roars in unison with the screams,
painfully sounding in my mind. As I begin to feel my sanity breaking,
a chilling wind blows through, freezing everything: the pain, the anger,
the fear, all while cold rain pelts down painfully on my withering body.

As the drops burn my lacerated skin it slowly washes away all tortured
memories and painful emotions. Bruised and bloody cheeks moisten with
crystal tears as I realize, I was left with a second chance.
Relief flooded me, everything turned calm, and then tears of joy rolled
down my cheeks as I realized this was the end to a dark chapter, an emotional
storm in the book of my life.

I wrote this for an English assignment last minute in Math class- So it was sorta just Last minute inspiration. My teacher liked it, and so I would like to know what you guys think.

Amazing. The emotion and depth in this is intense. The first line, there is something about it that caught my whole attention straight away. Your vocab is so strong, I feel like I know exactly how you felt when you wrote this. I love your mix of the storm and your emotion, very well penned.
    5/5 again, you deserve it.
