Little wishes

by Arunansu   Jan 20, 2008

They roam around me
as smallish clouds

descend
like icy fluffs.

The glistening dolphins
leap out of my yesteryears,

plunge into tomorrow.

Watchful ducklings
trotting by, question
"Can't you walk along ?"

I tell them, "my aching knees
won't be keeping pace with you."

They yodel. Disappear.

Groups of fireflies enter
my unlit room

(like) cologne of untimely Spring,

flashing now and then

here and there

They whisper,
"Life moves. Lights move.

Shifts obscurity"
