    Evening-

    Silence
    mixes with musical
    fantasy, writing
    about noises
    in the cracks of
    my ceiling.
    ^
I love poems that tell the time so much easier to not get it wrong! Hmm silence never have seen it used so beautifully well maybe Hannah has made a poem that has held silence in it but I still believe this poem is just beautiful and it's just the first stanza! (and a line)

    A moment captured
    tween fluttering of
    eye lashes and a
    tear drop lying
    dormant.
    ^
Hmm makes me think of when it rains or when someone cries but it's just me probably. I love the the last three lines I have a huge thing with eyes, they to me are really the doors to people's lives whether they have it good or not no matter how much they look happy.

    Wedding pictures
    collecting dust,
    memories
    shine as if it was
    yesterday.
    ^
Awe so beautiful the vivid picture! My God Andrea this is so beautiful it makes me want to cry! Maybe the character lost the loved one? Maybe she/he took the pictures off the wall? Maybe it's in the front of the house to shine all the way to the newst people that want to see it. I love this it shows great love!

    Sacred- a time
    of writing, a woman
    captivated by the mere
    existence of her being.
    ^
I would think this would be the day of her wedding since she's looking in the mirror and is just content to be getting married and just happy she's in a dress but happy

A little corner of the world,
    scribed in a poem, delicately
    crafted, vibrant enough
that you can see the skull
    beaded curtain, dangling.
    ^
Can't say anything but "Ain't that the truth" this stanza talks for itself Andrea

    My corner is my world,
    beauty of creation
    with pen, a love song
    lingers,
    as the man silently sleeps....
    ^
A diary! that's so beautiful and touching :) thank goodness I came back and read it again and got my mojo back to comment nice poem, nice imagery, and nice words! 5/5

I am really glad that this piece was nominated, I almost didn't see it, but it is wonderful. I love how you told such a story that feels so personal and so wonderful without making it feel like a piece only you and the people close to you can enjoy. This write is stunning, not only for its beauty but for the fact you not only created a gorgeous scene in my mind but you helped make me a part of that scene, from a fly on the wall to being in your shoes (or the characters, depending on the actual inspiration and I don't mean to seem as though I'm a know it all and say you wrote it about yourself cause that may in fact not be as true as it seems... I dont know, so I'm just putting the warning, and sorry for rambling :) )

    "A moment captured
    tween fluttering of
    eye lashes and a
    tear drop lying
    dormant."

^ At first I was so sure that this would be my favorite stanza. It was elegant and simple and yet something that really spoke to me. Once I read the Full piece my favorite became:

"A little corner of the world,
    scribed in a poem, delicately
    crafted, vibrant enough
that you can see the skull
    beaded curtain, dangling."

Even though the entire piece is phenomenal. Wonderfully penned.

A true picture was created here by the author about being in this one moment of intense thought. A simple moment, which led to reflecting upon life, upon memories, upon the future. The content of the poem is kept within the vicinity of that one room, which is mentioned in the title, and it really explores that safe place this author has created where perhaps her poetry comes to life. The mention of marriage worked really well since it was described as a happy time, with pleasant memories, yet it was kept vague. Then the end of the poem introduces the husband who is fast asleep. I found this quite interesting and it made me question the relationship between the two characters. Overall, this poem was an enjoyable read and it makes your mind tingle with after thoughts.
