    Hello Hazel

How fitting this poem is in a time such as the one we live in.
I love the way this starts - with a....well, freeing cry of 'Freedom' - it raised my heart from the get go.
But then the tone of the piece seems to go down. You have climbed this hill, labouring away, to escape the ills of this dreadful world. I have certainly felt like this at times.
    Nominated.

All the very best and speak soon,
    Ben

Yay thanks so much Ben, quite honestly it was a spontaneous " have to spew out something" poem, but I'm glad it spoke to you :)

This is a deep piece with a very widespread meaning because the world is lacking in morals and we are afraid to speak out against it.

    All the best, Em

    Hello Hazel,

a crafty, sneaky comment whilst I am at work...

I like these short and snappy poems. As your write a few words, the others just follow, like your subconscious is the muse within the poet.

The poem reminded me of a need, no a compulsion to get away from the world, from life and all its pressures and judgements. Where to go, up, yes up where the air is clear; on top of that hill where one can feel free and alive!

Well done, a nice spontaneous write. Better out than in, eh?

    take care

      Hi there Mr Mike.

Hahaha IT SEEMS WE ARE ALL SNEAKING ABOUT AT WORK.

Ah I felt it's been too long since I last wrote and my subconscious was quite chuffed that I did hehe.

There was a deep need but I met it this weekend at a spiritual retreat where I was freed from life and death and all those miseries.

Thank you kindly for the sneeky comment

      Take care,
      Hazel.

The world is certainly lacking in morals and the way it's going it does get no better. Sad but true. Enjoyed reading. Take care

Great refrain "Freedom, Freedom" I love the idea of the slog up the hill just to get away from the world lacking in morals and then the cry out loud of Freedom. I can remember years ago driving in my car getting away from a job I hated shouting the same thing lol Milly x
