Ponderings

by Colm

Dreams dilute like smoke into air
Dissipate from their moment of creation,
Only the dreamer can change
The fragile course of dreams-
We are all dreamers, but many among us
Choose fear over altercation
When fear is of the act itself.
Such is the man who lights the fire
Just to watch it die out, he watches,
In the periphery he waits...

He hears about a place and so knows the place,
Yet never has he seen it-
Exploring with incorrect maps and
Compasses which swivel with randomness,
What strength has he to be?
In this deluded realm,
Weak is our claim on destiny...
