Mmmm...

A bright yellow cupcake with frosting of pink,
Sprinkles on top, what a marvelous treat.
Smelling of strawberry sugar so strong,
This incredible sweetness is taunting my tongue.

A cake made with cocoa beans
And cherries bright red,
The chocolate icing, delectable,
Making me long to be fed.

So many cookies, peanut butter, chocolate chip,
Macadamia, or walnut, spice and ginger bread,
Snicker doodles, sugar shapes, oatmeal raisin,
Nothing in here could be bland.

How could there also be dough nuts,
Cheese or fruit danish, Chocolate eclair,
Bear Claws, Apple Fritters,
Their glazed beauty makes me stare.

Everything involved in this magical
Walls pale pink with ribboned yellow,
The pull of sweet scents,
Like a love to never forget.

All these things in this bakery
Make me feel out of control,
A ravenous hunger,
But a great sensation of awe.
