February Again

by C Cattaway   Feb 1, 2014

So many dreams have filled our nights,
The promises, all broken.
The new dawn of a memorable day,
With hearts & minds now woken.
I cannot change the things we've done.
I can't help what has been,
But I will not regret those times.
There's more to what we've seen.
A new life is what I asked for.
I've given all I can.
This day, an anniversary,
Starts with a single plan.
Each sun that falls, & rises,
Each cloud that clears the air,
Each time I close my eyes, then wake,
I'm thankful..& I'm fair.
One day, it was the darkest.
One day, we moved the ground.
One day, I dared to wish, but lost.
This day, it's smiles all round!
