PETRA

PETRA

By Poet and novelist Munir Mezyed

I watch the
Day star
Glow in thine eyes
And play with the
Treasureâ??s
Golden rays.
Thy monuments
Are the pattern
Of all glories
Relating to
The chronicles
Of triumphant days.
The columns are
Images of
Your pride.
Thy tombs and
Temples are
Holy as shrines
Wherein
Noble knights,
In peace,
Do abide.
A scene
Suffused with
Bewitchment.
Consummate
Vision of
Divine beauty.
