What a beautiful imagery poem Luce. You set the scene up nicely by giving a leaf a persona of sorts. You make it your main character and it truly is lovely to see such a unique perspective. This is a nice dedication to the Autumn season. Okay so the "main" perspective is a person that is gazing out the window, so that gives the reader a thought that there is a tree where you are gazing, in a house or maybe through a car window, I love how you leave it up to interpretation. The leaf is not yet broken off from it's home (on a twig) so you think the leaf is still green, so you could also say the colors are just starting to pop with brightness. I love short poetry that can make the author think. 5/5

    I love this poem...
    And the imagery.
I don't know what you wanted to tell but what this poem shows me is the will of the yellow, almost dead leaf to stay, to keep going, to not leave the twig.
    It shows me strength.

You might have tried to show it some other way but when I picture this poem, I see only that one yellow leaf clinging on to that naked tree.

    Beautiful.

I imagined a leaf, half green and half brown and the dead, brown part looks as alive as the green part, and just as carefree. Only the colours change. Which makes you wonder if death is a new form of life? Or maybe you meant that because we, humans, age slowly and can notice the symptoms of death on other beings, we live our lives afraid of death, trying to deny and fight it in every possible way, unlike this leaf that is peacefully accepting it. This haiku should win next week.
Bleh. Sorry if that ^ didn't make any sense.

      Thank you Noura

In essense this piece portrays both hope and denial. It's both sad yet at the same time hopeful. It makes me wonder if both hope and denial go hand in hand? Or if they are separate? As if both coexist with one another?

Though that question tht you posted is thought provoking, I have wondered if death is a new form of life. . . but I hadn't thought it that way.

Interestingly portrayed. To me it felt like everything has fallen to its death and its the last leaf still hanging on, weathering the season it clings on!

Yes it does show strength and that is what we humans too have to learn from this little leaf! Strength...inner strength.

    Powerful.
I envisioned the yellow leaf as an old person,
the twig as life, and green as the old person's still-young soul.
