Spring

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 20, 2014

She is risen
From the urban ghetto
with her grime-caked children
she is risen.

From squalid villages
with inadequate water
she is risen.

From bitter war zones
with mounting dead
she is risen.

Toward the hope of tomorrow
and eternal renewal
she is risen.
