Relampago(Tanka)

by Jad   Oct 16, 2014

Crack of blinding light.
White veins spreading across skies,
piercing the dark veil.
Cascading deadly beauty
that blooms in red and orange.

*Relampago is Spanish for lightning.

That blooms into red and orange.

^ this line is actually 8 syllables! I think.
I mean isn't orange equal to two syllables?

Other than that, I love the way you described the relampago. your descriptions allowed me to see it, and they made me feel like I was there when it happened, in that moment.
