Demonic Blizzard (haiku string)

by Maple Tree   Jan 26, 2015

Dusting snow angels
retreat with a fallen pine,
blizzard haunts the night.

Scowling moans echo
entity blankets a path,
possession begins.

Icicles become
rotten fangs, feasting on souls,
devouring life.

God's whisper harshly
"demon be gone", nature sighs,
exorcism dies.

Interesting! You have used one of nature's season-winter to show the strength and chaos it can cause but in a "demonic" way. It felt like nature was a young life possessed by winter and God intervenes releasing nature from winter's cruel acts.

    Very vivid and interestingly penned!

    I'm so impressed by this. (: It's so creative and well-written. You gave out some pretty intense imagery. I really like how you wrote this - really captures how powerful nature can be and I especially thought the finishing line was clever;

    God's whisper harshly
    "demon be gone", nature sighs,
    exorcism dies.

    Cool!
