A robin redbreast
perched on the watering can;
the rain approaches.

    Hello Hellon,

    the Robin is one of my favourite garden birds; I love their song and how confident they are, often choosing to sing in close view and even eat a tasty morsel from your hand.
    The picture of him sat on the watering can is postcard worthy. I like the link of water as in 'watering can' and the twist of the last line. I can almost imagine the Robin can sense the incoming wet weather.
    When Claire and I see one we always say. 'hello Mr Robin'

    Thank you for posting this beautiful image.

    Take care,

    Michael

    I just love commenting on a poem twice. It is like seeing the same robin on a different day, but not knowing it was the same bird. lol

    Hellon,

    I loved this!

    I'd have to say my favorite to date haiku as well.

    I like how in the shortest of three lines, there can be so much the reader can get for this. My take is, don't run from the storm, wait for it..who knows what this bird will do when it rains, but My guess is try to survive, which goes with the message I got. We have to learn to dance in the rain, play in it, wait for it, survive in it and not take the cowards way out,

    Interesting your little haiku got my brain working like that lol

    Lovely write.
