Peace within a stream

by Kasie   Jan 13, 2017

Alone, deep within
The silence of the woods,
The scent of fresh pine
Permeates the air.

As a cool winter breeze
Whirls the leaves around,
The faint trickle of a stream,
Is all I can hear.

Flowing ever so gently
Through the pebbles,
It washes all my troubles away
And brings peace to me once more.

    Kasie,

This is such a gentle and beautifully written little piece that I simply have to nominate it!

    Take care and well done,

Thank you, I am honoured! It's actually based off of a real place on my land. It's my quiet place. I go there when I need inspiration.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Though, I feel it could be better and that it's missing something in between, but I couldn't think of anything else to write.
