The Ocean

by John Bowlby   Nov 18, 2007

Shushing shadows swish
Low 'neath the sea,
Whilst waves of water
Climb and decline.

Then as usual,
Soft shivers swim
As if nothing happened,
Echoing kind kings' ransoms.

Fish search the depths
While the waves
Near the shore, their
Crests curl and crash.

And all around is
Peace; calm peace.
