Silent Protest

by Arunansu   Dec 2, 2007

They are witnesses
of so many rebirth of springs

Untiring rains
could not deter their aging

Autumn zephyr
carry them along
as wingless birds

Skeleton of outstretched arms
remain motionless
in weighty winter snow,

You must have so much to say, don't you?

Your wails
bottled up
within scars on epidermis
Your lesions
do not show their bleed

yet no twigs do ever gripe
over your silent offerings,

Is there no detest?
