The Cost of Reality

by StoryOfMyLife   Feb 8, 2008

WE ere walking down the park together,
Somehow it didn't seem real,
You and me together at last.
The way we laughed and looked at each other,
It was as if we were in love.
Then I woke up,
It was then when I realized,
That it was just a dream I wanted to believe.
Nothing but an illusion living inside me.
Reality has just steeped in, and it hurts.
Seeing you with her, smiling like that.
What a cruel price to pay...
For something I didn't want or take,
For something I was forced to believe,
The truth I was made to see,
Crushing my dreams and fantasies.
The cost of reality is...
Nothing but a breaking heart.
