Her Deception

by FlawlesslyTarnished   Feb 10, 2008

She's not as strong as she leads on.
For she sets her walls on fire.
So no one can get through.
To acquaint with her desires.

She's not as hard as people think.
For inside she's really weak.
She's barely hanging on.
While knowing things are bleak.

She's not as true as she should be.
For every smile that you see.
Is forced upon her face.
As she hides the pain she bleeds.

She covers up her scars.
And pretends that she's okay.
She'll hide behind her walls alone.
And slowly let herself decay.

She'll keep her secrets so well hidden.
Behind her walls of such deception.
And forever she shall be discrete
Of her well concealed oppression.

    You're a wonderful writer.
This poem I can relate to as well, one reason why I probably liked so much, but it was an absolutely beautiful poem. Many people can relate to it actually, and you were perfect at putting this into words.
I really love your word choice, the words just flow so smoothly and easily in your poems.
