Homesick

by Phoebe   Feb 12, 2008

Without you it's like I've never seen the sun,
The world is a sketch of black and white,
My lips have forgotten how to smile,
because when I try it just doesn't feel right.

I'm deaf to the songs I am playing,
The words just don't fit anymore,
The musics too loud, too quiet,
I dont think I can take anymore.

I'm packed up and I'm ready to go,
When it's still days before I depart,
I'm tired from the nights without sleep,
and I cry from the pain in my heart.

I want to feel the touch of your skin again,
Smell your smell as you hold me close,
To kiss your lips and to play with your hair again,
and to laugh when you tickle my toes.

and although the sun is shining,
I am blind to it's warming glow,
Until I can see your face again,
and the colours, my heart will show.
