ALL ALONE ON MY OWN

It's valentines day,
Day of love and romance.
But I know I wont be,
Getting any cards not a chance.

As I sit here today,
All alone on my own.
I think to myself,
About the past thats gone.

I think of all the people that,
Ive loved and cared for.
I think of all the people in,
my life that I adore.

Love hasn't been easy for me,
Everyone Ive loved has left me.
But then again love is never easy,
And what doesn't last isn't meant to be.

Ive stopped looking for love,
Now I don't want to get hurt AGAIN.
I don't want love a few moments of,
happiness and a lifetime of pain.

but still.....

As i sit here today,
All alone on my own.
I think to myself,
About the future unknown.

Will I be able to love again,
Will I learn to care.
Is there someone out there,
Who i will want- DO I DARE.

    I don't know how this has gotten such a low rating to be fair there could be tweaks made here and there because the rhyming seems abit forced but otherwise it's a lovely little poem that many of us can relate to as we've all no doubt been hurt 'in love'
    I hate when people down vote a poem and have the audacity not to comment why.
