Elements

Elements

Age-old trees standing proud in the forests,
Their roots anchored in the ground where they were born.
Wind blows between the branches
And let the green leaves rustle.

Slow streaming rivers,
Flow like blue ribbons through the landscape.
Falling down in a waterfall,
Streaming till they pour in the seas.

A soft breeze through your hair.
Clouds flow to their next location.
Gently the breeze strokes your face.
Birds hitch-hike along on the air-pressure.

A twinkling light dancing in your eyes,
A reflection of the campfire.
Lighted by humans for warmth or light.
Carefully traced in a circle of stones.

But you can't control the elements

Earthquakes make the ground quiver,
Drag everything in holes in the ground.

Tsunami's flood the coasts,
People and animals drown in the strong waves.

Hurricanes are twisting around through the landscape,
Destroy everything on their path.

Outbreaks of fire burn everything in their way,
Leaving black-burned trees behind when it's over.
