Eternally Running

by Rob Matt   Feb 22, 2008

I've always run from the problems in life
Wishing I could end them with a knife
But then I remember I'd be a poltergeist
Eternally Running, like from a heist
Ive also met someone who really helps
She's kinda obsessed with Mrs. Phelps
When I have problems she's always there
And helping me without hesitating or even a scare
She's the person that keeps me going
Without her my heart may not be flowing
Her method of helping seems so cunning
But without her I'd be Eternally Running

Interesting poem, I am not a big fan of the typical love poetry but you expressed your feelings on nice, simple and I guess touching way.
I like the ending line, it has a very powerful emotional tone. First three lines are also great. I think that you improves your writing with each poem, bravo.
