Facing Upstream

by Larry Chamberlin   Feb 23, 2008

Facing Upstream
- [what's to come].
Trout motionless in the racing current
- [what's here now].
Fixin's swept beyond - behind- gone
- [the past gives clues to the future].
Ready for the tumult, prey or predator
- [understanding progresses].
Any false strike and the lures win
- [You still know nothing].

Many years of silverine stalking
- [More the inquiry, investigate]
Snatching bugs and morsels from the surface
- [Investigate rumors of reality].
Spawned the next several generations
- [Intelligence is artificial - downloads free]
So many frylings stream-flung to other rivers
- [Communicating "itself," Being multiplies].
Irish trout reproduce in Texas creeks
- [Consequences unpredictable]
But they all wind up facing upstream
- [Addicted to survival-what's to come].
