Dear Daddy

by J u l e s   Feb 24, 2008

Dear Daddy,

I waited for you to come home,
You told me once that your work was your dome.
I never really knew what that was
But i waited there only because
You told in the morning of that day,
that you'd come back home and do the things like you do it would always be the same.
But on this night you never came back,
I waited and waited
I sat by the door.
The next morning when i woke up,
i Went to your room,
I looked to your bed, it was only mommy no more.
I wondered where you were,
and if you got lost.
Where's my daddy did he go to the post office?
I want my daddy here with me,
I screamed so loud, i let it out and free.
My daddy Never came home that night,
He never came home and put me in my room,
told me that story, never told me sweet dreams time for bed nothing more.
I waited and waited for him to come home,
But soon i found out he never made it to his dome...
My daddy is gone forever you see,
but in my heart he is standing here next to me.
My mommy told me that he is in some place called heaven.
She said if i prayed to god you would answer my prayer,
so every night i go by my bed,
i bend down to my knees and i pray every night
that you will come back and put my teddy right next to me.
Daddy I miss you i wish you were here,
But mommy says your in a better place
I hope you still remember me.
Did you forget me daddy ? please i hope not,
But daddy one more thing
Mommy and me are looking at heaven i always think of you in my dreams.

I love you daddy.

[[ i wrote this for my friend because she lost her dad when she was younger]]
