Candle-lit depression

by Empty Space   Feb 24, 2008

A candle-lit dinner that went wrong,
Another preacher sings a song,
You got to take her out again,
But I'll just wait for it to end.

'Cause I got nothing more to give,
I got nothing more to give,
I got nothing else to give.

You tuck me in,
We say good-night,
I promise I'll get better.
You kiss my lips,
We'll be alright,
Although we keep on saying that.

It's been a year since I cried,
The break-down had to come tonight,
We were so close to making love,
But I seem to be guarded from above.

'Cause I got nothing more to give,
'Cause I got nothing more to give,
Yeah, I got nothing else to give.

You tuck me in,
We say good-night,
I promise I'll get better.
You kiss my lips,
We'll be alright,
Although we keep on saying that.
