R & Me

by Larry Chamberlin   Feb 24, 2008

"When you want to change the mood, change the color."
That was the advice her mother gave her, she stays intense
Her mood shifts by indigo calm to tangerine fireball,
The colors of her aura radiate unseen full sensed.

You shimmer with her, you don't see or feel,
Something like seeing her feeling
Or feeling her through vision;
She has become my life-long quest.

Afar I watched her from my window
Walking childlike with her child,
Innocence painted on her,
Though make up she wore none.

"Please, don't ever tell me you love me."
"I'm going to make you love me," her reply.
Oh, there have been crash-sites and battle craters,
But the Peace Prize has always been high in my sights.
