It's ironic how this came to be
We started off as friends then progressed to family
Looking back I could never have predicted this
It's crazy how undeniable the truth becomes in the essence of a kiss
Despite all the reservations and hesitations
All the scars from past relationships and all the pain
As a result of pure honesty and trust attained from simple conversations
My pre-conceived notions about men have slowly begun to change
My overall morale has been uplifted
