The Problem Here is Me

by Rayarra Jones   Feb 26, 2008

It took me a while to realize
but finally I'm beginning to see
you are not the cause of my problems
the problem here is me

I took your love for granted
granted I drug it through the dirt
I left your heart broken on the sidewalk
I'm the reason for all your hurt

I punched you in the face
an invisible fist that all could see
again you are not the cause of my problems
the problem here is me

I left you out in the cold
with no jacket to keep you warm
and I threw away your umbrella
to let the rain pound you in the storm

Indeed I am a bad person
no doubt any one can see
you are not the cause of my problems
the problem here is me

I thought I needed more
someone strong and someone proud
I was selfish and decieving
hurts to say the words out loud

I gave away all that was yours
and traded it for a silver mersades
maybe the problem isn't the men
maybe the problem is in the ladies

(Just a little something I thought up real quick. Women always talk about a man being the one who cheats and who breaks hearts, when sometimes it can very well be the other way around. We're so caught up looking for the "bad boy", someone to give us thrills..yet we miss the only man in the world who could have treated us right. I'm not blaming ne one I'm just saying that maybe its time to open our eyes and see what it is we really need)
