How a cutter's mind works

by Amy   Mar 3, 2008

Why do I feel hurt?
Why do I need pain?
I've tried other methods
But it's just not the same

I look at my wrist
The blood runs down
All I can do
Is watch it pool slowly on the ground

My heart is racing
My chest is tight
All I want
Is to make it through the night

I'm begging the Lord
But He remains silent
Please help me, dear God
I'm feeling quite violent

My body is numb
My mind is breaking
I won't last much longer
I can't stop the shaking

I close my eyes and count to ten
Hoping to find some relief
My reflection stares back when I open them
And I study the cuts in disbelief

Once again, I've given in
There's nothing more to say
I live my life one day at a time
And cut my troubles away

Your very expressive. You can feel all your emotions. You never have to say you were crying so we know you were sad you can just hear it in your flow. Terrific writer. 5/5
