Are You?

by GoodMorning   Mar 5, 2008

Past changes plant doubt within my soul.
They act as tangled weeds
Among a formerly glorious garden.

They're battling:
The hopes You create,
And the fears embedded onto my heart.

My spirit's weak, unable to stand on its own.
You're here now,
But will you be tomorrow?

You promise, promise, promise.
But what is a promise?
The meaning's fled my mind.

Are you much of a gardener?
Will you weed out all the doubt
And help this garden to flourish?

Are you much of a warrior?
Will you stand for the hope
And beat down the fears?

Are you much of a writer?
I know you have a way with words.
Will you revise all the things previously written on my heart?

Are you much of a scholar?
Can you define a promise?

----------------

Wowwwsaaa. It's been ages since I've written.
I had this random urge this morning, though,
and this is what I got. =)
There's really no structure/rhyme/style,
I just went with the flow. ;)
I don't think it's anything spectacular,
but I sort of like the idea.
Not too fond of the ending, though. Meh.
I'm open to all comments/suggestions.

Also, I wasn't entirely sure where to place this. Haha
It's about love, but sniggity, none of the categories -really- seem to fit?
Oh, wells, I settled for desired love. XD
It -is- about wanting something,
only being uncertain. Yeppo.

Okay, I'm shutting up now. ;P
