Let it go

by David Ensor   Mar 13, 2008

Let yesterdays troubles
die in the night.
for today brings trials of its own,
and tomorrow lies just out of sight.
learn to live in the moment,
for each moment is a gift.
you should treat it as such, with respect.

i think that you'll find,
with a respect for time.
the worries of today,
while they don't melt away,
will sure as hell fell much less daunting.

for when put in their place,
and given some space
your ghosts can do much less haunting.

so refocus your sight,
and i think that you might.
see that a victim you're not.

own this gift you've been given,
grab life, do some living.
lets yesterdays troubles
die in the night.

  • Crazy how what you really need the most comes to you when you least expect it and only then is it that's what you needed the whole time.

Everyone needs to follow this advice. Don't dwell on the past and your troubles! You only live once.. make the best out of everything right?.. Excellent job once again. Keep writing and I will keep reading =)
